Zakat
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is an obligatory form of charity — 2.5% of your qualifying wealth given annually to those in need. Use our calculator to determine your exact Zakat amount. We do not collect Zakat yet — we are looking for a verified Zakat collection and distribution partner first.
Sadaqah
Sadaqah is voluntary charity given out of compassion, love, or generosity. There is no minimum amount — every contribution counts. To be clear: Sadaqah given here is not passed on to a third party. It supports the developers building and maintaining Ummly, our server and infrastructure costs, and the general upkeep and growth of the platform, so it stays free for the Ummah.
