We do not believe knowledge should cost money, or that a Muslim should have to pay to learn their deen. So we built a platform where every resource is free, nothing is charged, and every voice in the Ummah is welcome. What people choose to give here goes into keeping it running and open — nothing else.

We say where it goes
Donations are not forwarded to a third party. They pay for servers, infrastructure, and the developers who build Ummly — that is the whole of it, stated before you give.
We do not collect Zakat
Zakat is a trust with strict rules on who may receive it. Until we have a verified collection and distribution partner, we will not accept it — the calculator is free, the giving is yours to direct.

Any sadaqah or donation given here is a gift to Ummly itself: it pays for our servers and infrastructure, the developers who build and maintain it, and the running costs of keeping the platform open to the public and to Islamic researchers. We do not forward it to any other organisation, and we are not collecting Zakat.
